...aNd MoRe sOcCeR.....

After the 3v3 tourney came Cache Cup, which both of the girls played in.... This was Jensyn's new teams'(Infinity Green AL) first tourney (first time playing together even). THEY TOOK 2nd place in the U14 division!!! Jen played defense and did a great job!! Way to go Infinity!! Oly's team was forced to play up to the U11 Premier level for this tourney (the girls on this team are all 9 years old)...and they swept the division!! There was only 2 goals scored on Crossfire (Oly is a defender so she was part of that reason) and they scored 22 goals (Oly scored the winning goal vs. Infinity in the championship game 2-1)!!

Then the fun started....sOcCeR!!

Shortly after the Ireland trip soccer got into full swing....Oly was in her boot from her torn ligaments and bone avulsion, but that did not mean NO SOCCER!! We went and watched practices and games all in the hope of being able to take the boot off and play in the 3v3 tourney on June 27th!! GUESS WHAT?!?!? She was able to!! Just a few days before the tourney, the boot was off and she was able to play (she still wears a brace when she plays, but no more pain!)!! Oly's Team, Crossfire Red (Kiana Feifia, Harlee Turnbow, Madison McBride, Kennadi Green, and Oly) took 3rd. We played some BIG, MEAN girls...but we beat 'em (stepped right on their hearts, took away their chance to go to th finals...)!!

IRELAND.....

Brandon and I were able to go to Ireland the first part of June for 8 days...it is absolutely beautiful over there!!

A lot of catching up to do....I know I have not posted in quite while, so I am going to try to get caught up real quick....Grab a coke (diet if you'd like), a comfy chair an settle in for a long read....

Riley was fortunate enough to meet President Monson in July here at the Ellen Eccles Theater (he had come into town to see Camelot? Hamlet? some Shakespearian play). His buddy's mom works there and had the inside scoop, got the boys tickets (sitting right behing Pres. Monson), and wah-lah, a photo opportunity is born!! The boys got him to wiggle his ears for them, he asked if they were going to serve missions, and they shared a little more banter before the show began....how lucky!?!?!

RichmondAngel.com

Our 4 year old neighbor, Taylie Abbott, was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia in August 2009. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Primary Children's Hospital in SLC. She is facing at least three sessions of chemo and a bone marrow transplant- its difficult to see what else may be needed down the road for Taylie. They are currently looking at a minimum of 6 months in the hospital. On top of this, the Abbotts will be welcoming their third child in early September.
As a community we are trying to help raise funds for the family to help with the medical expenses. Please visit www.RichmondAngel.com to make a donation (by credit card or paypal...or donations can be made at any Zions Bank to the Taylie Abbott Donation Fund), find out about fundraisers being held for her, and on the site you can also see updates on Taylie's progress.
If there is any help you can give this family at this time please do so. Even if you can only offer your prayers, they are needed.

NoW yOu CaN gEt OfF mY bAcK....

WARNING: this post will not contain pictures, just an update on why I have been such a slacker!!

Ummm, I think my last "real" post was Thanksgiving, with Oly eating her delish dinner...so we will go from there!

Oly's team did great in their soccer tourney in St.George and came back on FIRE!! They have done really well in their indoor season here in Logan. We are actually getting ready for a Futsal Tournament in SLC over President's Day Weekend (yes, we will be spending our Valentine's Day at soccer...does this really suprise you?)!! They will be playing in a U9/U10 BOYS league at this tournament....the last time we played a boys team, the parents complained that the girls were too aggressive towards there "wittle bowys"!! I thought that was kind of funny... Oly is still playing on two teams (Zehnos and Crossfire) and loving every minute of it!! All she asks for is a cookies-n-cream candy bar!

Then on the 2nd of December was Olyvia's birthday. She had an indoor soccer game in Logan...in fact she had two! She was about half way thru her second game when she broke out in a high fever and didn't feel well....the next morning she woke up with CHICKEN POX!! Yes, she has been vaccinated....it was going thru our school and every kid that got them had been vaccinated. The morning after that, Hanna had them, and within two more days Cash had them as well. So, for almost 2 weeks from their onset, we sat home. Fortunately for me this was great timing.....I still had a lot of unpacking and decorating to do in the new house.

A week after getting back into school, it was Christmas break. The kids had a great time sledding, snowman building, going out with friends, and ultimately going to Idaho for our Christmas festivities. We never have enough time when we go up there though...we always wish we could stay longer!! I am an awful mom, because I did not take a single picture of Christmas Day, but the kids had a blast!! They got everything they wanted AND we got a wii!! I think we spent the next several days all glued to the tv testing it out!! School started back up the 5th of January and things have been just as hectic since. This is how pretty much every day goes...wake up, go to school, come home from school, go to some form of soccer (practice, training, game, scrimmage), some home from soccer, do homework, go to bed, repeat. Our only form of excitement comes in the form of disease or stitches (yes, we have had those recently as well...ask Cash).

It is now February and like I said, we are getting ready to head to SLC for Futsal for Oly this weekend. I will try to get some pictures and post of the kids. We love all of you!! Hope things are going well for everyone else....
